In this era of Pentecostal revival and radicalism, changing from one church to another is like changing clothes. It takes nothing this days to move from church A to church B over flimsy reasons. Others are in a church where they only mark time as their enthusiasm has since been lost.

Below are some reasons why people are not blessed in their church;

1. They look at the age of their pastor. Most people who are older than their pastor have the problem of taking orders from a younger pastor or being totally submitted to him. That was Mariam’s problem with Moses that caused her to be leprous.

2. They criticize the grammar of their pastor. Bad grammar does not reduce anointing or grace. Most great men of God who did great exploits aren’t educated.

3. They are too familiar with their pastor. Having been with him for a number of years, they hardly see anything good in his sermons and messages anymore.

4. They look at the financial and social status of their pastor. They think a man cannot give what he does not have. This is not applicable to the gospel. 2 Corinthians 6:10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. A sick pastor can heal a sick person. Your pastor maybe poor yet pray for your financial breakthrough.

5. They concentrate on their pastor’s weakness rather than his grace and anointing. Moses as great as he was, had problems with anger and speech but those weaknesses never reduced his anointing or exploit.

6. They don’t invest in the anointing of their pastor. It is scriptural for people to invest on the anointing they desire to be blessed from. 1 Corinthians 9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? The shunemite woman invested in Elisha’s anointing to be blessed. The widow of Zarephath invested in Elijah’s anointing and she was blessed.

7. They think they are better than their pastor.

8. They think the pastor is their subordinate since he is being paid from their tithe. They see him as their employee. Pastor is God’s employee, tithe is God’s money and no one has the right to treat their pastor as their employee.

9. They don’t see anything special about pastoring. They think they can do better if given the opportunity. Mariam and Uzziah had this problem.

Numbers 12:2 And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it .

2 Chronicles 26:16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

10. They don’t pray nor encourage their pastor rather they speak against him.
